Students discover nature on our 27-acre campus which includes a natural playscape where children are encouraged to swing from vines, walk across logs, climb rocks, crawl under land bridges and slide down hills in sleds. Playing in a natural playscape is open-ended, unstructured and physically challenging which can lead to the development of gross motor skills. Children create structures with sticks and leaves, barter with rocks, play music and help each other to cross log bridges. It encourages imaginary play, teaching kids to make order of the natural world around them. It also teaches them to live within a community by fostering communication, conflict resolution, and loving interaction among all ages of students. Students develop wonder and awe about God's creation as they interact with it in exploratory ways.
