Becky Reits has dedicated the last 30 years to teaching and supervising students in Catholic schools, throughout the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo dioceses. During these years, she has made it a top priority to develop, instruct, and oversee the most authentically Catholic approach to teaching and learning for all the souls entrusted to her care. She discovered such answers while visiting St. Jerome Classical Academy in Hyattsville, MD in March of 2018. There, she experienced the goodness, truth, and beauty that a Catholic Liberal Arts Education can offer students, ultimately forming them into well-rounded people of character, wisdom, and virtue. Since that defining visit, she continues to pursue knowledge and understanding of classical content and pedagogy and is inspired to share what she learns with all who are open to such a treasure of our Catholic Tradition.
This fall, Becky commences her apprenticeship program through the CiRCE Institute, whereby she will dedicate the next three years mastering content and pedagogy of "The Lost Tools of Writing", a classical approach to grammar, reading, and writing.
Becky looks forward to building on the solid educational foundation of Light of Christ Academy (LCA) and to working in partnership with the parents at LCA and parishioners of St. Ann Catholic Church.
