Brooke Buth is excited to join the Upper Academy team this year as a Teaching Assistant. After graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University, Brooke and her husband did a service year with a religious order called the Missionaries of the Precious Blood where she worked with high school students in campus ministry. Her degree in Youth Ministry taught her to work with kids from birth to young adults, and she's excited to focus on the little ones now. Brooke is especially interested in trauma-informed care and teaching children how to identify, vocalize, and regulate their emotions in healthy ways.
While in college, she doubled majored in Honors Humanities, a strong Liberal Arts major where she took interdisciplinary classes that combined theology, history, literature, sociology, psychology, spiritual practices, and even occasionally science.
In her free time, she loves to hike, play with her new cat named Turtle, and knit. She also loves houseplants and cultivating her small balcony garden.
