Kathryn Wilmotte is excited to join Light of Christ Academy this year as an instructor of Latin and Great Books. Kathryn received her B.A. in English from Texas A&M University in 2016. A growing passion for medieval history, literature, and languages led her to pursue an M.A. in Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University, which she completed in 2020. Kathryn has been teaching at Western Michigan University and Grand Valley State University since 2018. Her courses include the Medieval World, Classical and World Mythology, and Latin. Kathryn’s teaching is centered on the intersection of history, literature, mythology, and language. She is passionate about helping the students at Light of Christ gain confidence in their Latin skills while also developing a deep appreciation for the Great Books of history. When not teaching, Kathryn enjoys reading, creative writing, running, and petting her cat, Eleanor.
