"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope." -Jeremiah 29:11
Tess Kamps has been teaching Latin for the past eight years at the elementary and secondary level and is excited to be joining Light of Christ Academy this year as its Latin teacher. As an elementary student she fell in love with classical, Catholic education and continued her education in college and graduate school at the University of Dallas and Templeton Honors College. She has a passion for making Latin accessible to young students. She aims to convince them that learning Latin is not only possible and beneficial, but also rewarding and fun. Tess believes that classical education is the best way to cultivate the rich soil needed for the Faith to grow. She lives with her husband, Shane, in Grand Rapids and, when she is not teaching, enjoys tending to her roses, reading Jane Austen and throwing parties.
